Military academic institutions are exploring how to adapt curricula to prepare students for AI as well as technologies that do not yet exist

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has the potential to improve the experience for both students and educators. Still, few fully understand the benefits and limitations of its use. How can professional military education maximise the benefits of AI without creating an unhealthy reliance on the technology or compromising other critical skills?

Hosted by the Initiative for the Digital Economy (INDEX), the Defence Data Research Centre (DDRC) and the US Army War College, this event will bring together representatives from military academic institutions from the UK, US and Europe to explore how best to use in military education. The event aims to: share examples of good practice (e.g., where the use of AI has more effectively delivered education outcomes), review challenges, and identify possible future use cases. If you would like to find out more information, please email Prof Zena Wood (z.m.wood2@exeter.ac.uk) or Prof Michael Neiberg (michael.neiberg@armywarcollege.edu).
